We are thrilled to welcome you and your child into our practice. To make your first visit with your child as comfortable and positive as possible, we would like to familiarize you with our practice.
In general, seeing a pediatric dentist when your child is 12 months old is a great way to establish a dental home. By establishing a dental home early in life we can create an individualized preventative treatment plan for your child and often reduce the incidence of dental decay and infections.

At the first visit, you will be asked to complete a medical and personal history questionnaire for your child which will allow us to become more familiar to your family and better serve the needs of your child. We will then introduce your child to our dental office and dental instruments in a playful way, do a clinical examination to detect dental decay, proper dental and facial development, and give guidance regarding oral habits and oral hygiene. The teeth will be cleaned and polished and depending on the dental development and behavior we will include necessary x-rays. At the completion of the initial examination, our pediatric dentist will speak to you one on one to discuss with you your child’s oral health.
